I am blessed to have the opportunity to work with 22 beautiful little souls. Our KINDergarten classroom is filled with 5 and 6 year olds who stem from many different environments before they come to me. For many of the kiddos, Kindergarten can be their first school experience and I am dedicated to giving them the safest and best environment for that. From learning and working on social/emotional skills to craving hands on activities to help them achieve their academic goals these kiddos deserve the world!
Our classroom is built around Kindness.
I find it very important to instill this great value within my students as they enter my classroom. What a better way to help teach kindness than with DonorsChoose and having them witness first hand that by doing good things for other people, good things can happen to them too!
My Project
As a Kindergarten teacher, I am passionate about creating a learning environment that is best for all my students. Coming into Kindergarten, children come from all different backgrounds at all different levels. Some have had books in their hands since they were born, while others may not be as fortunate. In today's culture, reading has become an important factor in the success of children. No matter what their background, I am determined to give all my students the opportunities they deserve to grow.
Our classroom is in need of more "just right" to help these amazing little minds grow into strong, successful students.
Getting these types of books into the hands of blooming Kindergarteners can change the way children look at reading. If children are constantly "reading" books that are too hard for them, they will soon become bored and discouraged. With giving students the opportunity to have these "just right" books in their own hands, it will allow them to grow and learn at their own level.
DonorsChoose is the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
