Online Portfolios to Prepare Special Education Students for College . . . and Beyond!

My students need three Chromebooks to create portfolio that showcase their amazing accomplishments.

My Students

My students come from very diverse backgrounds. They attend my Academic Support class for extra help with reading, writing, math, and study skills. My students don't always have Internet or computer access at home, so it's crucial that they have reliable technology at school.

Many of my students have difficulties with language processing, focusing on tasks, and advocating for their needs.

They struggle with attendance and a large workload of assignments and tests. They want to be successful and are motivated to get good grades.

My Project

I'm requesting these Chromebooks to help my students create online portfolios for college applications and job interviews. Students in my Learning Support classes work on presentations and papers for their Social Studies and Literature classes. We use Google Drive, Docs, and Slides extensively.

My students will create online portfolios full of essays, presentations, and resumes.

They'll use these computers to type faster, do online research, and write essays.

In order to prepare my students for graduating in 2021, I need to give them access to the latest technology. With these Chromebooks, my students can create an online portfolio of presentations and papers that they can take with them for college or job interviews.
