Help me give my students multicultural paint, modeling dough, construction papers, and a construction paper organizer to help teach them about diversity.
I teach in a full-day preschool classroom with 24 children. These children live in a low-income area where many of them come to school without proper shoes, jackets, and food. Regardless of what's happening at home, these children come to school cheerful, eager, and energetic to learn and explore new things. I enjoy working in this area because it is so rewarding.
I believe my students are entitled to have the best education that I can provide.
My classroom is like a second home for my students; most of them spend more than eight hours a day with me. They use my classroom as a place for warmth, love, and to escape their troubles. As a teacher, it is very important for me to keep my children inspired, engaged, and passionate about learning because these young children are the future.
Thank you for helping me make a difference in the lives of these young learners.
My Project
My classroom is a very unique classroom that's fill with many culture and diversity. It is so beautiful to hear some of my kiddos speak in their own native language. One of the things that I wish I can do more in my classroom is to provide my students more hands on opportunity to learn about the different types of culture that we have within our classroom.
One of my goal for next year is to provide more hands on learning opportunity for my students to explore and learned from about who they are and what makes them unique.
Therefore, I would like to request for some multicultural modeling dough, multicultural paint, multicultural construction papers, and a construction paper organizer for next year. The multicultural paint will be for my students to paint pictures of themselves, their families and friends. The modeling dough will be use during free choice time so that they will have the opportunity explore the different types of skin tone that we have. The multicultural papers are going to be use to create art projects from home with families and the they construction paper organizer will be use to store our new multicultural construction papers.
I want to provide my students with as many hands on learning opportunity as I can so that they will have a chance to learn and value who they are and how special they are as a beautiful being. With your generous donations and support I believe that I can accomplish one of my goal for next year. I thank you so much in advance for this opportunity!
