Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are a spicy group of talented individuals. Students come to the art room for a 45 minute art or character education class once per week. We have used a wide variety of diverse books to learn about different artists and continue to merge literacy and art. The students have truly begun to learn a lot of art terms, about artists, and subjects. Now it’s time to add technology.
The children’s ability to create is growing, and I would love to continue to challenge them to see how high they can rise.
They’re creating amazing work, and they need the materials to show it to the community. I am looking to help these students grow with art.
Help me provide my scholars with something that can truly build a new approach to the program that I have in place. I'm rebuilding the stations for my children with special needs and I'm adding a technology component to the set up. With more iPads in the room, my scholars will be able to work toward goals and rewards while at the same time teaching themselves how to build on skills that they're lacking and even help build basic functions which they need to work on also.
The students use iPads daily in a variety of ways including boom card stations in their classroom and coding dash robot activities in the Library Media Center, now we will be exposing them to digital art in the art room. Help our students to thrive across the curriculum!
