One Pen Ahead of the Crowd

My students need a graphic pen tablet to enhance their usage of photo editing software integral to a successful yearbook program. The newspaper staff needs one to be able to create art and cartoons 100% digitally. This will help give my students an edge if they choose to pursue a design, journalism, or communications degree in college.

A mouse cannot handle detail work. A scanner muddles artwork. A graphic pen will solve it all. I teach newspaper, photography and yearbook to grades 9-12. We are a small school (K-12 on one campus) situated in a small agricultural community - literally surrounded by fields. Despite our small numbers, my staffs continually work to be competitive with their publications, and to learn more. I constantly strive to find ways to keep them up-to-date with equipment, software, and knowledge - all of which they excitedly embrace.

My photography students have recently been working on very detail-oriented art pieces, and my newspaper staff has been struggling with our scanner. They have great ideas, and I am really excited to help them reach their goals. I love to see them produce those "really cool" projects that can only come from teenagers.

A graphics pen & tablet will really benefit my staffs. Nothing can boost output from Photoshop like a pen. And my artists will be able to create their cartoons and artwork on the computer - no details or effects will be lost to a scanner.

Your help will enable my students to progress their newfound skills, and will give them a unique edge if they choose to pursue a related career field in college. In today's technologically saturated society, the ability to use tools of a computer trade can give an individual a leg up on the competition. My staffers will put a pen to great use!
