Help me give my students a Smart TV and Mobile TV stand to display and create film editing techniques through educational apps to continue to make performing arts exciting.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
My students are inner-city teens with scarce resources which limits them on accomplishing things in life and exploring other options than this city presents.
I have an amazing group of students that wants more in life, they want to achieve more, and accomplish more.
I teach Physical Education and Coach soccer, I incorporate careers and job opportunities so students can grasp all the capabilities of how sports and science have interlocking relationships that bring them together without being an athlete. I like to present students with roles and assignments such as the cameraman, videographer, trainer, analyst, media specialist to name a few. They are beginning to understand that education is the outlet to achieve those things. I am so excited about how the potential of these items can allow these students to learn how to make their stories come to real life by placing them in segments, documentaries and highlight reels. I think what I like most is how they add edit and put sound to those short movies and highlights. It is amazing how ideas manifest into performing arts.
A quality 4K Smart TV will allow them to enhance their creative juices and be able to view their creations as well as view entertainment from a film makers lens. This will enhance the creative process and give them real-world experiences. The Mobile TV stand, surge protector, utility cord with the generator will allow us to work throughout the campus either indoor or outdoor. The snacks will give the students a quick pick me up and provide a working cast environment. The supplies, I can incorporate lessons in depth of field, frame rate, lenses, settings, framing, and more. They will learn the different settings and how to manipulate movement, technology and devices to tell their stories. Take One!
