My students are exceptionally diverse in all facets. Their common thread is a passion for theatre and we strive to give them the most fulfilling theatrical experience possible. These kids come from all over our geographic area because they are driven to achieve at a higher level right now in order to further their potential in the future.
The talent and passion my students possess rivals that of any professional in the theatre field.
They deserve the best I can give them.
Our class is heavy on consumable materials! Specifically, we go through miles and miles of thread each and every year. The use of that thread can vary immensely. My beginner students learn to sew by creating pin cushions, drawstring bags, and embroidered needle books. Last year our thread went into nesting elephants and careless birds in Seussical the Musical. This year, our thread is becoming a set of matching Salvation Army Uniforms in Guys & Dolls.
Our supply of consumable thread keeps my students stocked in the means to express their creativity for costume construction.
Replenishing that supply is a yearly struggle that this project alleviates.
The thread and bobbins this project includes allows my students to continue creating high quality costumes, learn-to-sew projects, and specialty designs.
