My students need this Mackie Sound Board to be used in our musical productions because our current board is failing and we are exceeding the maximum number of channels.
He was a tough first grader, always ready to argue with anyone at the drop of a hat, and never let anyone at school see a "softer" side of his personality. His home life was horrific, and as he watched our school's performance of The Lion King musical last spring, the tears came. He was careful not to let anyone notice, hiding his face as he brushed away those tears.
But I saw the tears, and was overcome with happiness for him that live theatre was able to touch his heart!
The power of music for the students at my Title I high poverty/low income school is life-changing. Seeing the impact the Lion King musical production had on the whole student body has inspired me to direct another musical this year; Seussical the Musical! My students need this, crave this, and are so excited at the opportunity to do another show! The production will involve 115 students from kindergarten-5th grade. Another opening, another show!

The music program at my school is in need of a new sound board since we are exceeding the capacity of our current failing sound board.
We currently have a very old sound board that is starting to fail and we are exceeding the maximum capacity of the board to run the number of microphones and musical accompaniment we need for our musical productions.
The students put in so many hours learning their lines, blocking, choreography and songs, and it's a shame if some students can’t be miked due to the lack of available channels on our current sound board.
