Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Day in and day out, my third graders come into our classroom ready to learn! They are driven and determined to be successful with everything they set their mind to. My students are diverse and each and everyone of them is a unique, amazing individual. They come from many different backgrounds, have different interests, and they all learn at different academic levels. Despite their differences, they all have one thing in common which is that they all share the love of learning.

My Project

The materials and supplies I am requesting will go a long way! A big focus in the third grade is writing. Students will have the opportunity to write an opinion piece, a narrative piece, and an informational piece.

My students are so eager to share their thoughts on paper, but struggle when doing so.

Thus causing my students to lose confidence in themselves. The writing folders will help students learn the writing process and help them organize their work. The writing centers will help them practice putting thoughts together, constructing paragraphs, and add details to their writing. This practice will strengthen their writing abilities which will increase their confidence.
