Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are inquisitive, bright eyed and eager to learn. We are a community of 16 diverse learners in a Spanish immersion classroom; a true representation of beautifully diverse San Francisco. They need a well stocked classroom library of favorite books.
They love to explore and learn with various hands-on manipulatives.
Their favorite on the first week of school was the use of white boards and dry-erase markers. Likewise, they love to build using Duplos and blocks. They are always ready to learn and explore!
My Project
These favorite Eric Carle books will support emergent readers by providing them with multiple copies to share. Brown Bear is always a classroom favorite. The incredible details on the nonfiction scholastic books will enrich their knowledge on life science with rich details, photos and facts.
The Picasso Tiles will allow for problem solving and enhance their creativity.
Their learning will be enriched by these tools.
The additional STEM toys and puzzles will keep them engaged and provide variety to the limited items currently available in our classroom. We hope to keep growing our building, creating and engineering! We appreciate any and all support.
