Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This is a full list, I am trying to highlight the extra materials needed to supply class sizes up to 30 students in my art room this year. Having ample materials, especially paper, allows for the students to transform the space into a studio more than a classroom. They have the opportunity to explore new ideas, gather the supplies needed, and have extra to work through their mistakes. After all, being an artists is all about working through our mistakes!

Help turn our elementary art room into an art studio!

The labels, tape, and rhinestones are used to decorate students sketchbooks which they will use all year! Their first week in class, 5th-2nd graders decorate the covers of their sketchbooks that they will add to and create in throughout the whole year, this is one of their favorite projects! My class was lucky enough to have small canvas boards donated for an entire grade level, the table easels will allow for the students in this project to experience what is it like to paint on an easel as a professional artist does, which further transforms our art room into an art studio!
