My Students

The students I have the pleasure of teaching are an exceptional group of kids! They come to school enthusiastic about learning on a daily basis! They come from diverse backgrounds and are on all different levels. They love using technology and doing hands- on lessons.

Our school is the only non Title I school in our district, so we receive no federal funding.

Most everything we purchase for our classrooms comes out of our own pockets or from PTA and school fundraisers.

My Project

We are requesting four Fire tablets, ink and a silhouette for making center games, and more seats to increase flexible seating in my classroom. My students love using technology in the classroom. We currently have some devices in the room, but some students have to share. With these new devices, every child could have their own. This would help me to accurately assess each child's independent learning during both whole group and small group instruction.

The kids love having the ability to make choices about their education.

The new seats would allow me to increase the flexible seating in my classroom, thus improving the learning and environment.

They also love to play centers during small group instruction. The ink allows me to print colorful centers and games to increase learning. The silhouette allows me the opportunity to cut pieces out quicker and make cute bulletin boards and classroom displays to showcase their work.
