Old School Poetry Vibe for Black History Month!

Help me give my students the gift of being super cool while sharing their poetry for Black History Month.

My Project

Students are creating a Black History show with an emphasis on poetry. They will be focusing on the inner and outer attributes of the skins they are in.

The goal is to help them appreciate their skin tones, but others', too.

They will also be writing poetry about the alliances between BIPOC and their white allies in the past and present. This will shine through the poetry.

We would love to look cool doing this with an old school vibe.

The berets and sunglasses will give us a 1960's look in 2023!

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
