Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Winter is upon us and so is the cold, wet weather. While our classroom does have heat, it is only able to heat to 69 degrees. Our classroom often still feels cold and drafty no matter how often the heat turns on. Students and staff often mention how cold they feel and we often keep students bundled up.

Our classroom consists of students with various medical conditions and several students bodies cannot regulate their body temperature in extreme weather.

The space heaters will be placed at every workstation so that students and their para can feel comfortable and focus on learning rather than staying warm. The umbrellas and raincoats will be used for students needing to walk or travel to services in the elements and during drop-off and dismissal when they need to be escorted to their bus or vehicle.
