My Students

Students at our high school are incredible and inquisitive learners. They strive to engage and take ownership of their education through the opportunities we set up for them. They are all digitally savvy, but have no idea how to incorporate technology effectively into their learning. I would love for them all to have an opportunity to engage with mathematics and technology in a conducive manner.

My Project

In conjunction with another project, the TI Innovator Hub will allow my students the opportunity to maximize the use of their TI 84 Calculators and the TI Rover. The Hub is a device that allows students to code programs on their calculator, store it to the Hub, and then have the TI Rover device calculate and execute the program to create graphs, shapes and data sets that the students can in turn interpret. I look to use this device in all areas of mathematics I teach (algebra, geometry, statistics, functions and number sense).

In an ever changing, technologically driven society, our students deserve and opportunity to engage with technology in a controlled and conducive environment.
