This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students come in class every day excited about school and ready to learn. I let them know no one can stop them and that they can be whatever they want, no matter what! I believe in them, and I want them to believe in themselves.

Many come from single parent households, and as a teacher my goal is to bring more engaging resources into the classroom.

I want to help my students to become successful and productive people in a global economy. The ultimate goal is success, and with the proper resources and the help of everyone that can help them, THEY WILL BE!

My Project

Oh, the places we could go with our books. The people, places and things we will see in our minds as well as on the page. We can bring the world into our classroom in many different ways. Seeing other communities and neighborhoods like never before. My goal is to help my children expand their mental horizons by exploring new terms and making their learning experience more attention consuming.

Literature is all around us and with the help of the 5 senses, this rug can capture the attention of the my students by helping them better see and analyze the different types of literature they read.

These book will help my students become better active readers.
