Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
WE ARE REACHING HIGHER FOR HIGHER EDUCATION. We will raffle off these items to our students to support them on their academic journey into college at our annual Decision Day event. The items will be incentives for students and raffled off so that they can have the necessary items for college. We have added technological items to help with their courses and owning a computer. We also have added a mini fridge for students to have a place to store food items while living on campus. We have added other necessary items to support their education and being able to succeed without the burden of financial costs. (dorms, school supplies, technology). Our goals for this project is to help low-income and first generation students transition into college prepared for their new academic journey!
Our student population is first-generation and low-income communities.
Despite their environments, they have prevailed. They went above and beyond to ensure they had a brighter future. As a result, we want to support their endeavors. Please help us support our students and give them a great transition into college by providing them the technological and general supplies they need for college.
