My Students

At our school, we are transforming lives by developing kind, compassionate leaders, problem-solvers, and productive citizens in our world. The cultivated learning environment is designed to prepare students to be enrolled, enlisted, or employed after they leave our school. More than half of the students receive free or reduced-price lunch.

My students are eager to learn.

My students enter the classroom ready to learn, do their best, and discover. In our class, we build a community around what we share in common. My students like to have fun in the classroom but also work with each other during stations.

My Project

Phonics are so important in first grade! This will also help the students learn skills to help them read. The goal of reading is to make meaning of print, but before they can read, they must know what the printed symbols mean.

Having these phonics boards will help the students decode words first!

The students will then become more confident in reading, speaking and writing. The students get really excited when they can read and speak like an adult! It is crucial for the students to have these phonics skills.
