Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Living in an area where it rains often in the fall and winter seasons, students are stuck inside. My goal is to make indoor recess a time for students to play games and have positive social interactions with each other. I want this project to provide my students with fun and entertaining activities to play during their indoor recess.
My fifth graders need the positive social benefits board games provide for students such as communication, teamwork, winning/losing strategies, being fair, and following rules are just a few examples of how we can continue to learn during our indoor recess time.
I am asking for a variety of indoor recess materials when the weather is not appropriate for outside recess. I want these students to enjoy themselves and have fun...even when the weather keeps them stuck inside.
