Help me give my students an opportunity to see notes, examples, models, and step-by-step solutions to the material we are studying. These document cameras will allow all students to clearly see any resource the teacher can share.
All of the elementary students I work with have been identified as gifted. Arizona Revised Statute defines a gifted child as "any child of lawful school age who displays superior intellect, advanced learning ability or both and who needs special instruction and services to reach appropriate levels of achievement." I work with students in grades 3, 4, 5, and 6.
Our school is a Title I school.
In fact, 76% of the families at our school qualify for free or discounted-price lunch. Our school is a wonderful place for kids because our school was built in 1964 and many of the families in the neighborhood have two or three generations that have attended TES. Therefore, there is much pride here and the families support the staff and kids with unwavering allegiance.
This document camera allows the teacher to show everything from notes to microscope slides to the entire class from any device. It even takes short videos of everything from how to work out a math problem to student presentations.
There is no need to have the students crowd around the teacher's desk vying to get a view of the butterfly chrysalis anymore.
Now, every kid can clearly see tiny details from anywhere in the classroom.
This high-quality camera has great reviews, free software, and it is small and light for safety and storage. Please, help me bring teaching and learning into the 21st century.
