Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have 27 third grade students who are ready to learn. What an exciting classroom it is for both the teacher and the students. The places my students can go are boundless.
My classroom includes students at all levels of learning.
Most of my students come from low-income homes. Many of them are English language learners who absorb words like sponges. They love both reading and math and are always up to be challenged. My students are always learning both in and outside the classroom. They are a hardworking bunch!
My Project
Help us take a closer look at our school garden! We are going to learn about the importance of insects in our school garden. Students will research what bugs they will see with great books, a science viewer and then use chart paper to keep track of their learning.
Students will grow plants in our classroom and then transfer plants to our school garden to see what insects we can attract.
Students will make connections between insects and how important they are to a successful garden. Your donation will help my students grow! Students will work in teams and present their findings to other classrooms within our school.
