Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
At WildCat Studios, my students aren’t just learners—they’re developers, designers, and collaborators solving real-world problems through app and game development. They come from diverse backgrounds and are building skills to pursue careers in tech straight out of high school. Every day, they work in teams to design user interfaces, write code, fix bugs, and present their ideas—just like a real software studio. They’re driven, creative, and committed to building apps and games that make a difference in their community.
Ergonomic office chairs will help transform our classroom into a true simulated workplace, boosting focus, supporting collaboration, and showing students that their work and well-being matter.
Our current chairs are small, plastic, and uncomfortable, making it difficult for students to stay engaged during long work sessions. These new chairs will not only increase comfort and reduce distractions but also create a more professional environment where students feel valued and motivated. By mirroring the look and feel of an actual studio, we reinforce the message that their learning is meaningful and their future in tech is real and attainable.
