Currently, the school lacks many visual indicators of support for the LBGTQ+ community and inclusiveness. With this project funded, students will see an LBGTQ+ flag in every classroom. They will see flags and banners around the school, in the hallways, the front office, the gym, and cafeteria. They will feel the inclusive environment around them by hearing teachers and administration talk about it as well as seeing it throughout the school. The administration sees the need to change the school's appearance and create a cohesive environment of support for LBGTQ+ and an inclusive culture, the school lacks the funding to create it. With the knowledge and feeling of support and inclusiveness at their school, our students will feel a deeper sense of security and trust with their teachers and administration. This is necessary to allow them to focus on learning and growing as they make their way through these vital years of change and growth.
