Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from a very low-income area in Springfield, MA. Our school is a Level 3 school in need of further resources regularly. I teach an abundance of ELL students who need very hands-on language experiences. All students receive free lunch and breakfast each day. Despite many hardships, students come eager to learn and grow each day. I would like to give them the tools they need to succeed every day. With such diverse backgrounds, a classroom is a place where all of my students can feel at home.
My Project
Since this school year was cut short, I am hoping to start the next school year on a positive notes with a new group of friends. With the pencils and sharpener, my students will have the basic supplies they need to succeed and be ready for a new school year ahead! The white board markers and colored pencils will help my students be creative and think outside the box every day.
With your help, my students will have what they need to succeed to start off our school year strong.
I can't wait to get back in the classroom with my students and these fresh school supplies to put a smile on their face.
