Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school serves a dynamic Latinx student population. Our students are incredibly thoughtful, respectful, and hard-working, despite the challenges they face in their lives outside of school. Many of our students are Dreamers and first-generation Americans. We, like schools across America during the pandemic, are struggling to offer students incredible experiences due to the constraints of educational budgets.

My Project

We have piloted a new Digital Art class for our students, but we do not have the budget to afford basic computer mice and mousepads.

Working on a track pad can be really difficult when using the Adobe Creative Suite, so in order to work most effectively we need to have a class set of computer mice for students to connect their laptops.

We will cycle the one set among three sections so get the most use out of them! This is a basic need that will make a massive difference in our students' every day lives.
