Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Help us organize our materials and add some hands-on learning supplies to our classroom.
My second grade students love school and are eager to learn.
They attend a K-5 Title 1 school in Nevada. Our school has a high Ell population and a low socioeconomic status. My students love hands-on learning manipulatives. Those materials keep them engaged and strengthen their overall academic skills.
My Project
These resources will enhance our learning stations and help us organize materials better. The paper trays will be used to collect student work and organize supplies at each learning station. Supply boxes will be used to organize small manipulatives for each stations. Magnetic letters will be used at a making words station where students can practice spelling words, sight words, and phonemic awareness. Clipboards will be used to provide a writing surface when students are away from their desks. Wikki stix will be used as manipulatives to represent math and language arts skills. The name badge holders will be used to identify students during field trips.
These different materials will add the finishing touches to our classroom.
We just need a few hands-on manipulatives and some organizational items to help us reach our fullest potential.
