Our school is nestled in the mountains of southern Colorado at an elevation of 9,000 feet. The last silver boomtown of the 19th century, our economy now is primarily reliant on tourism. Once the tourist season ends, our population shrinks dramatically, and our little town settles into a small, close-knit, family atmosphere.
The children in our town are deeply loved by our community and are regarded as the "life" of our little town.
Townsfolk turn out to support our students in everything they do from sports to musical/drama programs to literacy and science events!
My Project
Our school year is almost over, but we need some odds and ends to finish out the year.....
Science is a lot of fun, but it can be messy sometimes!
Safety goggles, aprons, and magnifying glasses will keep us safe as we get out hands messy with science!
Sentence strips, small mirrors, dry erase markers, and reading highlighters will boost our language and reading lessons.
Individual headphones and styluses will enhance our technology time and keep everyone safe during Covid with their own supplies.
Your support of our classroom is much appreciated!
