Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a new teacher in the building and new to teaching middle school, there are many odds and ends that are needed in order to get the classroom fully functioning.

I want to encourage my students to read, so creating an organized classroom library is extremely beneficial.

The bins will help me organize books by genre and interest. Because of Covid, our students do not use lockers and so all of my home room students leave behind their coats. Having a place in the room for students to hang up their coats would be really useful for them because currently, they pile them up on the floor and different corners of the room until they come back at the end of the day. Finally, the other supplies will help me complete my day to day teaching tasks.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
