My Project
We read a lot of books in 2nd grade. We read chapter books, fiction, fantasy, and mystery books. When we are reading, most of our books have characters that are either people or animals. We recently discovered this new area of fiction books where objects are the characters.
We are learning about personification and how objects can have feelings just like people.
These books will help us to find more examples of objects with feelings. Once we name these feelings, we can then look for text evidence to prove the feelings of the character. These books are all a little silly but all have strong meanings and themes that are just right for my 2nd graders.
