This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I share this book with my students through an interactive read-aloud every year. In the past, I have only been able to read it to them. I would love for them to be able to read along with me.

This book gives a small glimpse into what it was like for Jewish people who were hiding from Adolph Hitler.

It helps students understand the importance of friendship and trust while giving a look at the prejudiced view of the Germans at the time.

This is a great adventure for my students. It would be enhanced with a class set of books.
