The printer has insured that we are able to provide the students with custom and brightly colored visuals. They have exciting and engaging materials in the learning centers. Access to a printer in the classroom makes updating materials quick and easy. For example, I noticed students were not visiting the writing center. I was able to update our tracing materials to look like roads in the shape of letters. Once paired with Hotwheels, the students were excited to choose the writing center. This quick change in activity was made possible by the color printer, card stock, and laminating sheets funded by this project. Now the students are learning to make the strokes of letter writing while having fun. \r\n\r\nIt is important to truly explain the impact to our students from the funding of this project. In the first 9 weeks of school, our school has run out of printing paper, the copier has be out of order, and we have been without toner. The materials provided have not only helped my class through these hardships, but I have been able to share the resources with other teachers. Students who struggle with reading can now listen to instructions during their math stations, allowing them to demonstrate their knowledge in math without being hindered by their reading skills.
