I am so excited to share with you about my students. I can have 16 students, whom are made up of 8 special needs preschoolers and 8 typical preschool peers. Their needs will very based on their abilities.
We create a strong sense of family and community in our room and build friendships to last a lifetime.
Our school is a city school with 100% of students receiving free lunches. I want to make sure that our classroom is inviting, comfortable, and pleasing to all of their needs. Our room is their second home, and I want them to feel that way.
Thank you for your continued support of our amazing preschool program. You have made my classroom a bright, cheery, and fun place to be for all who visit or join our classroom family. I am both honored and blessed to have the privilege of being the first school experience for many of my students. Here's to learning, fun, and a lifetime of friendships.
My students need to be able to recognize numbers 1-10 as well as letters in the alphabet. These skills are included in Ohio's Early Learning Standards and is important for Kindergarten readiness.
My goal is to provide fun, hands-on and engaging ways to teach my students to make letter-sound and math connections and to build upon their pre-academic skills in preparation for Kindergarten.
These materials will make a difference in my students' learning by providing a variety of ways for them to identify numbers, the letters of the alphabet, as well as the sounds associated with each letter. I plan to use all of these materials during small and/or large group instruction to help my students build their knowledge of numbers and the alphabet. My goal is for each student to know 100% of the uppercase letters and numbers (1-10).
As my students become more familiar with these materials, they will be placed throughout various learning centers (toys and games, writing, discovery) in our classroom for independent practice.
