Teaching preschool is my passion. My class is full of three-year-olds who are so excited and enthusiastic to learn each day. My students come with a range of struggles; some with learning difficulties, others with difficulties outside of school, such as poverty or being homeless. Regardless of their situations, it is my job to ensure that their first school experience is a positive one.
One of the many things I love about preschoolers is their endless imagination and excitement for new knowledge.
Preschool is a year full of wonder, curiosity, and growth, and it is my job to keep that excitement alive to create lifelong learners.
My Project
My amazing students are working hard to master early learning standards. Our early interventions are necessary to make sure our special needs students catch up to their typical peers and are ready for kindergarten.
They are in need of tools that will help them count, add, and subtract.
The counting and number games are a good resource to have because our young students learn through play! The children will have fun using the math manipulatives that relate to the different themes while also learning shapes and colors. Students will be able to compare weights and sizes through play. They will problem solve as they interact with fun number and size manipulatives. These activities will build their number sense as well as other cognitive skills which will make them ready for kindergarten and lead to their financial literacy.
