This colorful and exciting rug will make a huge difference in my students' learning because it will give each student their own space to learn. It also focuses on the alphabet and letter sounds by providing a picture that begins with the letter sound. This is a key skill for kindergarten students. My students will spend time on this new rug throughout the day for our morning meeting, whole group instruction, read aloud time, and centers. Many five year-old children need the freedom to move around and choose their own spot to work and be creative. This classroom rug will allow students to do just that.
