Nspire Math Students With New Technology
My students need 2 TI-Nspire CX handhelds to explore math concepts.
Wouldn't it be nice if students could do the same thing that the teacher is doing on a computer without the computer? Putting a TI-Nspire CX in the hands of a math student makes that possible!
My students are typical math students taking a required math class.
Even if they don't love math, they work hard and appreciate using technology that is interactive in the classroom. The school is a Title I school with an increasing number of students qualifying for free or reduced lunch. This means that more students need extra support in acquiring necessary supplies for success in their classes.
The TI-Nspire CX is a color graphing calculator that really has 7 different applications: Notes, Calculator, Graphs, Geometry, Spreadsheets, Statistics, and Science. Today students are more easily engaged when they can use technology, and this handheld is modern, interactive, and is much more than a calculator. These two TI Nspire CX calculators will allow my students to explore and connect math concepts with technology instead of just with paper and pencil.
By donating to this project, you are helping students visualize and interact with mathematics.
They will learn how to use a new technology, and this skill will transfer to other technologies and software.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
