This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The hardest part of teaching letters and sounds to kinders is keeping their interest and keeping them engaged for more than 20 minutes.

Reading blocks can last up to 90 minutes and working in small groups is the key.

However, when students are working in centers independently they need to be engaged and having fun!

Yes! Reading is Fun! Incorporating activities that help engage young learners is the key. The hands on activities, like stepping stones, rockets and learning locks, are the key to the fun factor.
