My Students
I work at an amazing Title I school with incredible students! Many families at this school live below the poverty line and are considered to be low income. Over a third of our students speak English as a second language.
I work hard to create a positive, welcoming, and safe classroom environment.
Each and every student is valued, and I build strong, meaningful relationships with them. These students are some of the hardest working ones I've ever come across. They are eager to learn and never back down from a challenge. They value creativity, hard work, and fun!
My Project
My students have been working hard during distance learning. One thing that is lacking, is the students' access to quality books. I want students to continue their love for reading, and practice key reading skills during distance learning. Having the ability to have a physical book to read will be so beneficial to my 5th graders.
These books will allow my students to experience independent reading as well as engage with one another in literature circles during distance learning.
I will be able to send these books home to students to borrow, so they will be able to continue growing their love of reading!
