This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As we embark on a new school year, I would love to give my eager and excited incoming learners the opportunity to start the school year fresh and with all the necessary supplies! Providing essential school supplies such as markers, pencils, tissues, erasers, crayons, and paper will help ease the financial burden on many families having to purchase the much-needed supplies to set them up for academic success. Working in a Title I school in the Bronx, most of my students look to us to be able to provide them with their everyday supplies.
Being able to provide these materials for each of my students would make a huge difference in their learning!
We all know that excited feeling when we open a fresh pack of sharpened crayons that are begging to be used! This project would allow my students the chance to start the school year off without the worry of going home and stocking up on the ever-increasing and expensive school supplies.
