Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are absolutely hilarious; they make me laugh every single day. They are brilliant, kind, and determined to make a difference. My students are incredibly informed with social issues and are very progressive. They are strong activists, always fighting for equality, and will soon be running our country.

Our school is 98% students of color and nearly all of our students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch.

The neighborhood our school is in, is one of most undeserved communities in the state. These students will change that.

My Project

4 Years ago we started a Journalism Program at our school. Slowly we have been turning it into a prestigious institution. Students write, report, edit, and produce a weekly broadcast for our school. We are currently operating on outdated video equipment and our students deserve to use professional equipment that matches their talent!

Our students want to capture all the moments that make their school and their community special.

With these two cameras our students could get experience using professional equipment to better prepare them for their future journalism careers.

These cameras will better showcase our students amazing broadcasting skills!
