Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have 2nd and 3rd grade combination class, having total of 23 students. Additionally, I have one third grader who is reading at a kindergarten level. And even with such variations in their academic levels and having two grade levels, I love the fact that all of my students are willing work and help one another during various class activities and class projects. The cohesiveness and the willingness to help one another that is found in my classroom is what makes my students special.

My Project

There is a need for technology in my classroom as there is not one working computer for students to use. The only access they have is at the computer lab, which they are scheduled for just two hours for the whole week (as this computer lab is shared by the whole school).

With just few hours a week, my students have limited time to research on a class project or to complete their online assessments.

And with the state test approaching soon, there is a greater need for technology as my students need to practice taking tests because the actual tests are done on the computers/iPads.
