This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My project goal is to provide my students with the snacks, drinks, incentives and materials they need in order to thrive and address their specific special needs. My students come to school on a daily basis ready and eager to learn, however many of them lack the basic school items needed in order to accomplish their objectives. Many of them also come to school hungry and although they receive free breakfast and lunch, they can use some snacks and drinks between meals and on their way home. I wish to provide my students with a fun, inspirational learning environment and snacks, treats, incentives and fidget/stress toys!

Meeting students' individual needs is of paramount importance in order to promote a successful academic learning environment.

Having the right materials is essential. When it comes to my classroom, the smallest details make the biggest difference. By having the necessary snacks, drinks, supplies and incentives, my students will be able to excel academically, address their specific special needs and will increase their studying skills. In all, the requested items will allow all students to stay mentally, emotionally and physically health and actively engaged in their learning as they focus on the task at hand.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
