Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from low-income areas and low socioeconomic backgrounds. One hundred percent qualify for free breakfast and lunch. We lack many everyday school supplies, and many of the parents cannot afford to buy their children pencils, folders, and other essential supplies for school.

Many of my students come from low-income households.

Eighty-five percent of the students are English language learners, so many do not receive much help at home due to language. The teachers at our school are mentors to the children. We want all our students to succeed. The school provides a caring and warm environment to learn.0op-

My Project

I would like to have each of my students receive their own bag of masks to have for the classroom. Starting next week, we all will have to wear KN95 or N95 masks. No more cloth face masks. They need comfortable face masks to help keep the germs away. The face masks will help my students stay safe and healthy. Having extra masks to switch out during the school day, will keep kids comfortable. The new variant of COVID-19 is impacting the health and safety of my students. Masks are getting more expensive and many of my families cannot afford another expense. Please help them to stay safe and healthy with face masks.
