This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students work hard each and every day to improve their skill set and make their educational goals. As rewards, we play educational games on the computer such as Kahoot trivia. Playing against a computer isn't the same as playing with their peers, the games provided will help teach the students several skills they can not get from the computer. Sportsmanship is one of the skills I would like them to work on, knowing it is ok to lose against your opponent and congratulate them for doing a good job. For most of the games listed above the students have never heard of or played, I want them to use their reading skills to learn how to play the games by reading the directions and applying their knowledge to the games. This is a great way to show them how much fun learning can be and to put their thinking skills to the test.
