I need "Kidding Around Yoga" teacher training to enhance my ability to lead my students through social emotional learning, yoga, and mindfulness activities in a fun and interactive manner.

My Students

My Project

This past school year, I had the opportunity to become my school's Social Emotional Learning Specialist. In this class, I use explicit instruction to build self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, as well as relationship and responsible decision-making skills. Using a combination of the Second Step Curriculum, Mindful Schools Curriculum, and Yoga 4 Classrooms, students are guided through discussion about the competencies, learn why they are important, and develop healthy strategies for growth in these areas.

Adding Just Kidding Around Yoga teacher training to my repertoire, will allow me to better meet the needs of our youngest learners, making mindful movement practices more engaging and fun!

According the to the Kidding Around Yoga website, "OKAY is an integrated approach to kids' yoga teacher training that will prepare you to teach not just asana, but games, activities, deep relaxation, meditation and so much more. When you are done with this fun and engaging training, you will be fully prepared and certified to teach Kidding Around Yoga classes."

I can't wait to integrate this fun, new, dynamic program into our learning plan!
