This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a low income/high poverty middle school in the heart of San Francisco. The majority of our student body is Latino who arrive bright and early every morning.

As an English teacher, I hear so many of their stories.

Homelessness, deportation, even murder have been in the narrative of their lives and yet they still manage to get up every morning and come to school. I admire them, they are my heroes and I always try to do my best for them because they deserve nothing less than that.

My Project

Oh my sweet, sweet Donors Choose. You have graced my classroom with the tongues of trees which have so generously been bestowed upon my surroundings book after book after book, and for that alone I cannot thank ye enough. I has't but yet another request for thee to ponder. I would like to readeth Romeo and Juliet with mine class, but sadly, I has't a copy of the playeth. I has't recently discovered a Spark note addition which showeth Shakespeare's language in plain English as well as the traditional fare. If 't be true could thee beest so kind to maketh a contribution at this time I would beest ever so grateful. Thank ye even for considering.
