My students need foam balls, jelly balls, and paddles. Our class sizes are getting bigger so in order for everyone to be active, we need extras of the equipment I now have.

My Students

My students walk into PE eager to see what I have in store for them. I teach PE to kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade students in a Title I school. My students come from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds. Many live in poverty. We have a very multicultural school.

They are excited for the opportunities to try new activities.

Many of my students do not have simple equipment like a ball or a jump rope at home so PE class is very appealing to them.

My Project

Classes have gotten larger in the past year so the number of equipment I have do not meet the demands of the class sizes.

The extra equipment will allow everyone to be engaged at all times.

Waiting for a turn is not productive in a physical education class. Although the students are wonderful about sharing, I'd like for everyone to get busy with the activity I have planned. I know there will be smiles everywhere if everyone had their own equipment to use.

The equipment I have requested can be used with so many activities such as throwing, kicking, catching and striking. They will be enjoyed year round.
