Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember your Kindergarten? Well chances are you had time for social interaction. Sadly, that is not true of Kindergarten classes today and I want to change that! I want to promote a positive room environment for my students and help them learn good characteristics.

I teach Kindergarten to the best 24 students on the planet!

Our school is in a high poverty area, and our entire school receives free lunch. Many of my students live in multi-family homes and many of their parents work several jobs in order to make ends meet. My students come to school each day eager to learn and have such a positive outlook. I want to provide them with opportunities to learn about social interaction in a positive way.

My Project

I am requesting anti-bullying books, and resources to create a positive classroom environment. Through this project I am hoping my students will learn to be tolerant, respectful, caring and responsible individuals. It is my belief that the positive habits my students develop in Kindergarten will follow them throughout their academic career. They will be able to express themselves in a positive manner. With the books we will be able to create lessons in which we learn how to respect one another. With the manipulatives my students will be able to create scenarios where they are positive in role playing about their community. This project will have a positive effect in my students in the years to come.

It's never to early to educate our students in strong character values.

By starting in Kindergarten my students will be able to take what they learn about anti-bullying and character development and apply it in their continuing education! By helping to fund my project, donors will be helping to build our future.
