Help me give my students a worldwide approach in our diverse Language Arts classroom by expanding the walls with Flocabulary and TIME for Kids programs with audio and mic headsets!
Our fourth graders for the school year 2020-2021 will have been placed in a historical first! Thankfully, I will loop up with the students. These kiddos try hard but have many obstacles as they approach their fourth-grade year. They did not have their last quarter of school and many of them are getting minimal support at home during our COVID-19 Quarantine. This places them behind to start our next school year!
Many of the students are low readers, have limited technology tools, and struggle with executive functioning challenges.
Teachers are their saving grace for future goals. Especially being that we are a Title I population!
My Project
These materials will provide access to explore learning beyond the walls of our classroom with virtual exploration beyond their imagination.
While using Flocabulary's multi-sensory, high-interest activities students are bound to increase their academic vocabulary through high levels of engagement.
In combination with a TIME for Kids annual subscription, our students can explore the world through current events while reading and having virtual field trips!
Finally, the use of headsets with microphones will allow our lower readers the opportunity to use fluency tools that are provided daily in our E.L.A. environment to increase their reading comprehension and fluency skills.
