Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This week is full of a CC/CTE fair, lunchtime activities, and a presentation bringing awareness to opportunities found in Career Technical Education, Community College, and the transferring process. Your help in bringing this project to life will bring excitement and engage our scholars, fostering a positive college-going culture (CGC), particularly among first-generation and underrepresented college students. To incentivize participation and maximize the impact of these initiatives, we propose the introduction of cool giveaway items for well-deserved Oilers.
The provision of giveaway items not only adds an element of excitement and motivation for students to participate but also serves as a tangible reminder of the importance of pursuing higher education.
By offering really cool room decor and technological devices as giveaway items, we can capture students' attention and reinforce the value of exploring post-secondary education options. This approach not only supports our goal of increasing student engagement but also aligns with our commitment to empowering our diverse student body to pursue their academic and career aspirations. Through this initiative, we aim to create a more inclusive and supportive environment that inspires all students to consider the possibilities available to them beyond high school.
