Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Students coming through my classroom are on fire to learn! They are hardworking and energetic, caring and open minded. Around 20 of my English students first language is Armenian or Spanish. My 40 humanities students are practicing performing artists and my last group of 40 children comprise a highly energized community school class of middle school Next Generation Science students. Every child is amazing and they all have high hopes and big dreams that I want to help come true!
My Project
How great it would be for the children to be able to access a class chromebook with added memory capacity to keep their presentations, research links, and work samples in one central place for sharing and viewing. How wonderful to allow the students to have ownership of their own shared student computer to keep a record of their thinking and polish their academic presentation of the Next Generation Science Standards woven into STEAM humanities with rockstar EO Wilson's cutting edge research! As well, it would be so lovely to have a violin in our room so children could learn Sinichi Suzuki's Violin Methods and improvise with me! There is nothing that equals the sound of children playing music in the morning and during lunch in my classroom! Please help me start a Violin Club before school and during lunch to help my students feel as special as they truly are! We need a little boost to get the program off the ground and support these kids in building their positive identities that will last their entire lives! We can do this!
